A remix of the phrase "I am speaking into a microphone, broadcasting my despair, but I hear no response" from the linked sample (thanks!).

It sounds distinctly like human voices, but the words are unintelligible. The reverb harmonics give it a very tonal quality. It sounds like somebody speaking at tremendous volume from inside a very deep hole.

The vocal sample is run through a heavily tweaked backwards-running granulizer, compressed, given a massive reverb, and normalized to -2.4db. All processing was done in FL Studio 7, except normalization, done in GoldWave.
