A loopable 30 second sample of rain falling on a flat roof. This was itself made by looping a shorter sample, then chopping it about to disguise obviously detectable repeat patterns. An amplitude envelope was applied so that the volume at the end matched that at the start. Rain recorded 5 July 06, Sony ECM-MS907 - MZ-N10 -RockBox H120. An MP3 version is now available too:- http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=22037
