Worldwide HF radio beacons. Recorded 21 Nov 1999 at 18:10 GMT in Sussex UK. The Morse code identities of the following stations can be heard (time into clip mins:secs): ZS6DN (South Africa, at 0:05) CS3B (Madeira, at 0:45) LU4AA (Argentina, at 0:55) OA4B (Peru, at 1:05) 4U1UN (New York City, at 1:25) W6WX (California, at 1:45). These stations transmit in a 3-minute cycle. Each transmission gives the Morse identity, then 4 short carriers transmitted at 100W, 10W, 1W, and 0.1W.
