Here's a clip of a spring thunderstorm in the city where I live. It's the first really big thunderstorm of the season... with birds chirping and sirens blaring for added effect! Around 3:35 you'll hear the sound of small bits of hail landing on my balcony, but it just sounds like heavy rain. The entire file was recorded using a Rode VideoMic connected to a TASCAM DR-7 digital audio recorder. A treble boost was added in post-production.
