The sound frequencies in this sweep are all of equal amplitude but are not all perceived as equally loud: inaudible at the extremes 20Hz and 20KHz, and with loudness peaks at around 1KHz and 10KHz.

There will be variation from person to person, and also different audio-amplifiers and louspeakers/headphones will have different peaks in their frequency responses which complicates matters.

I have hearning peaks at 2.6 kHz and 8 kHz.
