The 'Dustmites Chorale' pack from my 'Symbiotes' sampler is based on sounds in which the dominant feature is some form of surface noise, digital glitch, or tape hiss - so, taking those elements we try to remove from studio recordings as our starting point.
This excerpt features a lovely psycho-acoustic effect courtesy of rhythmic, panning pulsar wavelets obscuring some form of strange tonal content (FM synthesized bell tones, I believe).
