The 'Dustmites Chorale' pack from my 'Symbiotes' sampler is based on sounds in which the dominant feature is some form of surface noise, digital glitch, or tape hiss - so, taking those elements we try to remove from studio recordings as our starting point.
This excerpt combines looped samples of light urban rainfall, and combines them with a more synthetic sort of 'droplet' sound courtesy of randomized FM wavelets.Some additional "industrial" atmosphere is provided here by a faint loop reduced to 4bit resolution and fed through comb filter feedback. Oddly relaxing!
