two contact microphones recording an engine from a Mini Cooper S in sport mode. Surprisingly aggressive-sounding. Intended to use for a race car asset.
Contact microphones are stethoscope-like mics that you place onto a surface to record vibrations. This way, I was able to record the raw engine without wind or perspective. The left channel is the chassis and the right is the engine block... blending the two together produces a great sound.
