Music Box Comb

This is the sound of the 72-note comb on Reuge Music Box. I dragged the tip of a plastic cable tie across the comb three times at different speeds.

It was recorded with an old style ZOOM H2 recorder placed adjacent to the box music box. Although the recorder was set to maximum sensitivity I later boosted the recording by 18 dB in my DAW to get it up to a reasonable level.

The sound goes low to high frequency. It occurs to me I might have made another sound going high to low. I will do so if there is any interest.
