STADSKNIETJES is a performance act that merges spoken word, poetry and music into a cinematic experience. With compelling lyrics and layered guitar compositions, Jetske Verhoeven (word & performance) and Shannon Westcott (music & guitar) create a world in which language and sound flow seamlessly into each other.

Their style exudes the atmosphere of road movies, western soundtracks and surf music, while the Dutch-language performances play with themes such as nostalgia, longing and the city as a backdrop.
