This sound was created by me on a Linux platform using the LMMS program (https://lmms.io) and the ZynAddSubFX synthesizer (http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net), with the "Ioioioioioi" instrument plugin. I don't know who on the ZynAddSubFX team made this particular instrument plugin, but the ZynAddSubFX team is listed here: http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/credits.html . I added Stereo Reverb, an effect plugin created by Fons Adriaensen. The resulting sound reminds me of shrill, almost-inhuman gibbering, mixed with insane opera-like singing, of the sort that you may hear echoing through the halls of a haunted Bedlam on full-moon nights. I imagine this is what the ghost of an unfortunate who perished in Bedlam might sound like.
