The Tiny General (Previously The Tiny Piano) is a story in itself, about a young boy who looks to his grandfather, who was a general in the war.
The piece has many sections, starting with a whimsy build up, a faint idea of seriousness and marching, a cinematic and epic recollection, a plucked section, a piano section to let the piece breath, which then builds to a strong marching that's filled with wonder. The piece then goes to a half tempo section for a finale.
The piece as a whole is quite dramatic but can be broken into these sections.
