Acoustic Ethnic Percussion

I was playing around with the lid of a drink can, and noticed it was possible to create grooves by pushing the lid down and letting it spring back up, resulting in two alternating sounds. The rhythms that come out are quite enchanting and entrancing, with a natural groove/swing and an interesting tonal quality.
