Valencia Mascletá, March 7, 2025

Recorded March 7, 2025 at 1400 hours from the window of our apartment in downtown Valencia looking toward the main city square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento). The Mascleta is a daily sound event during (and a week before) the annual Falles festival in Valencia. Sound levels were very high and clipped, but were recovered in Izotope after conversion to 24 bit.

Recorded on Zoom F3 at 96K/32bit with Uzi Pro omni microphones in AB configuration with 50 cm separation. Bubblebee wind protection. Conversion from dual mono to LR stereo in Acoustica. Normalization, content cuts, and fades in/out in Izotope RX10.
