again, I listened to the part over and over again with headphones on, and I cannot hear any Skype, especially since I'm certain I uninstalled Skype in 2013. the noise throughout the recording is compressed background noise that I unfortunately could not avoid.

I don't know what you're talking about. I listened to that part repeatedly just now, and there's nothing there but the unfortunate compressed background noise I had to deal with when using my old mic. that sound is constant throughout the entire sound clip.
