Nature-Symphony Prelude 2 (Song of anguish — memorial to Alexei Navalny) — Spectacular — At least as intense as any music I've ever created! Piles of augmented triads, minor major seventh chords and other potent musical interactions from four layers, each taken from one recording of a very potent metal wind chime — the layers each separated from its neighbour by a major third, and thus adding to the awesome augmented triad mayhem as the wind truly makes the chime work here to reflect the anguish as decent humans watch apparently helpless as the unaware and downright deranged take us full-tilt towards full-scale world war.
The irony is that the sounds and overall impression of this work can also be experienced joyfully, as being in a ruggedly beautiful and inspiring mountain or, say, North Cornwall coastal situation in invigoratingly challenging weather! Indeed, I'd already started putting it together before I heard the news about Navalny's assumed assassination. In this particular context, however, it works as a distinct parallel to my 2001 composition De Profundis Clamavi (https://youtu.be/H0Mkiyg3nQY ), which closely followed the '9/11' outrage, and sounds very different from this dense wall of sound.
Chime used: Davis Blanchard Twilight (8 tubes, tuned to a weird bunch of pitches, which give potent intervals and chords, notably augmented triad, minor major seventh, minor triad, major seventh, and a poignant repeating descending minor second (semitone))

Techie stuff:
The recorder was a Sony PCM-D100 with two nested custom Windcut furry windshields, and placed on a Zipshot Mini tripod.
Basic post-recording processing was to apply EQ in Audacity to correct for the muffling effect of the windshield. Later on I applied my custom extreme wind-cut preset in TDR Nova GE to drastically reduce the bass aspect of the wind noise.
For this Prelude I made four copies of parts of the recording thus edited, Layers 1+2 getting one section, while another section went to Layers 3+4; they were deployed as follows, all of them being given back-of-cathedral acoustic to transform their sound:
Layer 1: Half-speed and thus an octave below original
Layer 2: Speed reduction to give pitch reduction of an octave plus a major third
Layer 3: Speed reduction to give pitch reduction of an octave plus two major thirds
Layer 4: Same speed reduction as Layer 3, but pitch reduced by another major third, making it two octaves below original.
