Wind chimes — half-speed versions

Half-speed version of part of https://freesound.org/people/Philip_Goddard/sounds/697887/. High-pitched sweetness of 'rainbow colours' sound against a sea background in a fascinating and atmospheric setting, now heard an octave lower. To me the pentatonic scale is usually strongly suggestive of rainbow colours.

Chimes used are:

1. Woodstock Chimes of Pluto (moderately high-pitched, pentatonic)

2. Woodstock Chimes of Polaris (high-pitched, pentatonic)

3. Woodstock Chimes of Mercury (very high-pitched, pentatonic)

I recorded this on 17 July 2013, on a clifftop crag by the Levant tin mine ruins, near Pendeen, Penwith, Cornwall, UK.

For more details about the different chimes used, please go to https://www.philipgoddard.com/shop/store-windchimes.htm.

Techie stuff

The recorder was Sony PCM-M10, with Røde DeadKitten furry windshield (original, more effective, version). It was set up on a Hama Mini tripod, which is very 'mini', and the chimes on Zipshot tripods.

Post-recording processing was to apply EQ in Audacity to correct for the muffling effect of the windshield — and then more recently stereo widening / sharpening-up using the VST plugin A1 Stereo Control (160% widening). I used the 'Change speed' effect in Audacity to produce this half-speed version.

Please remember to give this recording a rating — Thank you!
