Ambient recording of a ride on a new bus (2012 El Dorado Easy Rider II).

For the first minute or so the bus is just idling, waiting at the stop. We hear sounds of people boarding, change being deposited in the fare box, some conversation and laughing.

At about one minute, we hear my watch beep and the change being deposited in the fare box. Then, at about 1:30, the bus shifts into gear and we get underway. Engine sounds rise then fall as the bus gets caught at a red light. Message on the radio, then, at 2:25 we're underway again. Engine noises rise and fall as the bus negotiates traffic. Conversation among passengers.

At 4:35 the bus stops. Door opens. Passenger boards. Deposits change in the fare box. Door closes. Bus gets underway again. Around 5:00, hits a small pothole; structure rattles.
