Winding up/tightening of a clockwork mechanism. Made from some sort of clockwork thingy that I found ;)
HELP!:
You can hear in the background some sort of high pitch sound that keeps going on and off. I've had this problem for a while now. If you know why that happens and how to prevent it, please let me know! :)
I'm using a Tascam DR-40 field recorder with a røde NTG-1 shotgun mic.
UPDATE!:
Thanks to the help of Timbre http://freesound.org/people/Timbre/ I finally know how to get rid of the annoying high pitch sound. (Only in post though, still don't know how to prevent it when recording) So if you want a version of this sound without the high pitch noise, Timbre fixed it and uploaded it to his page as a 'remix' of mine ;)

qubodup, I don't think that's it unfortunately. I use Duracell Pluspower AA batteries, nonchargable (I think) and they should work fine... :/

I have constant frequency background noise issues when using rechargeable batteries. Something about the voltage?...

Wow, a lot of technical stuff! Thank you! :D

PS the fundamental frequency could actually be 4800Hz , which is an exact multiple of the sample rate (96000/4800=20).

The high-pitched sound is a mainly a 4747Hz tone, and three smaller harmonics, which could be removed by a notch-filter, [ I dunno what’s causing it though , low battery maybe ? ]
