The recording was made in Italy, specifically in the countryside near Cariati marina, Calabria. Around midday in the middle of summer. In addition to the cicadas, sparse car traffic can be heard in the distance coming from State Road 106. Recorded with Sennheiser 416p and Zoom H4n.
