Field recording of the night call of Boana pulchella (ranita del zarzal), captured near Arroyo Carnaval in Villa Elisa, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.
Recorded on a warm summer night around midnight. The frogs produce clear, bright “ping”-like clicks approximately once per second. Several individuals call from the vegetation close to the creek.
Recording setup:
- Zoom H5 (4-channel mode)
- Stereo pair: Hollyland Lark M2s (ambient soundscape)
- Shotgun mic: Audio-Technica AT897 (focused single-frog capture)
One channel is presented raw, and the other is lightly cleaned (noise reduction) to isolate the main frog call.
No other processing applied.
