@muirhill_121: Thanks! It was recorded using a handheld stereo mic no more than 30ft/20m from the aircraft. I wanted to get close for the start-up magnetos, but if I got too close, the blades would start throwing walls of air at the mic. You might as well hang your mic out the window of a car on the highway. I mean I had a big popsock on the mic, but we're talking a LOT of air displacement here. So I had to slowly move my hand, body and mic into better positions to maintain quality while sheltering from the wind. Proximity and air management: that's what gives you clean sound :)

Best Huey start and takeoff I have heard in all my searching. At full volume, I can smell the fuel and feel the...power in my living room, I imagine the neighbours can too.
