An old lawnmower from 2012 starting, "revving" (over-revving), and horribly "idling" because of a faulty governor. First start is where the exhaust points away from microphone, second start is exhaust pointing at the microphone.
Engine: "Partner" carbureted, wasted spark flathead (side-valve) 120?cc Briggs & Stratton 450 series.
Recorded with CAT S42 and Dolby On app, as always.
Good parts:
#0:45 - WOT (Wide Open Throttle), probably past redline (DO NOT TRY AT HOME, PLEASE)
#0:50 - 25% to 50% throttle for a while
To anyone thinking "why destroy this engine like this" - it was already old and had a scored bore, plus the mower body was rotten through. This engine was only good for taking a sample and then disassembly for spare parts. It was not worth saving at all.
