Before sleep
she was waiting for all the pain of the past day
in the dark of the room
she closed her eyes
she whispered to herself:
I will wake up now
i will wake up now
i will wake up now
she woke up to a sunny day
to the distant rumble,
filled with a cacophony of sirens,
the honking of ambulances and
fire trucks.
She thought: - There can't be a war today…-
