In Beijing's Donghuamen area, a blind man plays the Erhu (二胡) -mostly known as Chinese violin- on the sidewalk of Donganmen street -the street that connects with the East door of the Forbidden City.
A two-stringed bowed instrument, the Erhu produce one of the most characteristics sounds of China.
Transit noise behind, this direct recording was made with my old ZOOM. At the end, after a coin hit the can of the street musician, the man said, 谢谢 [xie, xie], thanks!

The last sound was not a gunshot, but someone throwing a coin into a can.
