Basically the eagle turns his head in a side animation with a lot going on in game on the screen at the same time and he needs to be noticed, so it needs to jar the player a little bit letting him know this is important and that HE IS LOOKING AT YOU based on what you are doing. Hah! Ok done.

This is really awesome. Could you make this deeper, and maybe one deeper with reverb at the end like a trailing effect? I have an animation of an eagle turning his head and I was looking for something precisely like this. This is similar to one of the WoW menu commit buttons, maybe a bit better. Needs sci fi tag to be found easier.
