1 minute of 6 a.m. Belted Kingfisher, Megaceryle alcyon, flyby calls. The Belted Kingfisher usually is too elusive for me to get close enough to record their call. As soon as they see me they fly away. Here one of the species flew close to the recorder in an early morning flight, calling loudly for about one minute. Sony PCM recorder, Clippy 272 Microphones, Fuzzy windscreens and dry bags. St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
