High-quality on-site recording captured at the cardboard bailer located on the back dock of a supermarket where I work.
The sound focuses on the hydraulic press/compressor as it compresses cardboard and corrugated board: a steady low-frequency compressor hum, distinct pump and valve clicks, audible pressure build-up and release, mechanical thuds.
Minimal processing was applied to preserve the authentic mechanical texture and workplace ambience. Ideal for foley, industrial sound design, documentary atmospheres, or adding realistic production-layer textures.
