Sounds like he's simply reading a sutra from the Qu'ran with a gravelly voice. It sounds very occult-ish to Western ears, but as someone who's studied dead and archaic but somewhat still-living languages it doesn't sound so terrible.
Most people can't tell the difference, so it's still quite usable. :)
