Zombies do breath, but they don't need to. A zombie can smell blood if he has his body. But if a zombie is decapitated, the head would still be alive, although it won't breath. This happened when Michonne decapitaded her pet walkers on The Walking Dead.

Can be used for more than just a breathing zombie, can be used for just a general zombie noise
