My name is Ron and I play drums in two bands, Tonic Immobility and Genosha.
Tonic Immobility has a full length album out, you can check us out here: www.reverbnation.com/tonicimmobility
Genosha is the main reason I stumbled onto this website, found some bass drops that I fell in love with, so I think I'll be here awhile!
I'm not too well with sound engineering, but as far as being constructive and useful goes, I can say this: If you are a drummer looking to sample sounds, like bass drops, for live performances, go with the expensive Roland equipment. Its expensive for a reason. I recently picked up an Alesis SamplePad because it was only $150 and seemed too good to be true. SD card for "unlimited sounds" ... Uh huh... What they don't tell you is they all have to be .wav format, they all have to be mono, they all have to be specific Hz and bit rates... Basically its a pain with all the converting, but I've found a few ONLY on this website that have worked without me having to convert a thing... I'm just going to suspect he is an owner of the same product or something hahaha.
