Caused by a close strike of lightning. The beginning is intense, with loud cracking, but the rumble drops off quickly. There is a tiny bit of rain noise in the background, but it is relatively quiet due to the loudness of the strike.
The lightning struck the ground roughly 1600 - 1700 metres away, or 1 mile away (deduced from the time taken for the sound to travel).
