Recording outdoor gun sounds without clipping the volume, hitting the preamp, or getting so much noise that you then need to put allot of damaging filtering on the sound is really, really hard if you don't have a private range and you go out there at like 2:30 A.M on a winter night or something. I think these sounds are fine for a simpler project where quality isn't as important, but for me probably the only really decent part was the third shot. It's not really possible to use the gun manipulation sounds for me because they are overshadowed by wind noise for instance.
Still, I appreciate the effort and I doubt I could do any better. Keep working at it! I think you will get better.
