Field recording at Summernats 25, Jan 2012, Canberra, Australia. Ambience of the car festival with tons of powerful race car engine sounds.
This sample is a V-8 supercharged hot-rod idling roughly, then revving-up and holding a higher RPM idle. Trackside at "burnout elimination" trial.
Recorded on hand-held Tascam DR-05 linear recorder with in-built stereo microphones. Audio is unprocessed except for dubbing out some data from the front and back (end) of the original recording.

I have a suped electric golf cart with BT radio,etc. All it lacked was muscle sound. Now, when not listening to jazz on the course, I can WOW my buddies with my BIG V-8 idles and revs thru the radio!
Next I want to run some hoses from a CO2 tank to behind the rear tires so I can "smoke" a burnout!
