The sound of high winds created by synthesiser. The pitch variations were created by changing the filter cut-off frequency. Part of my Atmospheres and Soundscapes 2 pack which consists of sounds designed for use in music projects or as backgrounds intros and soundscapes for film and games.

You can clearly hear that this sound is created with one filter sweap on one synth. What you should try to do is change from lowpass to band pass, and having 3 - 4 different filters runing alongside eachother to give a bit more realistic windscape. Good, but far from the best I've heard here on freesound.
