This is my first upload after an 8 year hiatus. This is a nighttime stereo binaural recording of a thunderclap with rain from the perspective of an open garage window, facing into the backyard of a house in the suburbs. The area just outside and below the window that the mics are placed on has a row of low-lying garden plants with large, wide leaves, which are creating the bulk of the raindrop sounds.
This is a roughly one minute snippet of a much longer recording of the same thunderstorm, of which said long recording will be uploaded here once editing is finished. The full recording will cover almost the entire storm from start to finish.
Microphones: Matched pair of Clippy XLR EM272Z1 with foam windscreens, rycote fur windcovers, Folding stereo microphone bar
Recorder: Zoom H4N
