Manipulated field recording of insects at night. Originally recorded July 2, 2012 using a Sony PCM-D50 recorder with built-in stereo mic in 96k x 24b wav stereo. This is intended to debunk the urban legend about slowing down a recording of crickets and having it sound like a "celestial choir": no, it sounds like aliens at a soccer match.
