I like the unique qualities it has. The notes are just hanging sustaning, wating for the next to bar to come, and it is made interesting by piamissimo and sudden fortes created a powerful tension and interest with in the implied chords, it worked for you.
Some of these things can't be done in any way without a real piano. I gave it 9 fingers way up!
