Not to be That Person, but I was born in 1968 and never heard a single analog television make this sound. What kind did?
As info, the sounds TVs really made when switched off in the late 60's and throughout the 70's was a heavy "thunk" or "click" as you pushed or clicked the power button from on to off, and the clearly audible event of the TV's hum as it suddenly ceased. A good example of this hum was on CBS, whose was the loudest and clearest at 60 Hz. You can hear it immediately, here:

That's what the 60's and 70's sounded like, Charlie Brown. :) Again, not meant in a bad way, just to share information so the next sounds you share from my childhood era hit right in the feels the real way.
