This is an excerpt from an old cassette tape I bought on 02/05/2020 titled "Chris 1972" (no relation). It seems to be an audio letter based on context, and lucky for me, neither the sender nor the recipient name themselves, so we only have this single puzzle piece between two anonymous parties to go off of. It's amusing to listen to, nonetheless. What preceded this excerpt were two totally unrelated songs that I can't include here for obvious reasons. Beyond this excerpt is a long series of Beatles songs being commented upon by our narrator, with the occasional rubber band musical interlude.
A "neat idea," indeed.

The cartoon segment heard after about ten seconds is AAP/Paramount/Famous Pictures-era Popeye for sure. Couldn't identify the specific one, but definitely was. Those are the first full-color Popeyes where Olive Oyl suddenly has a slight figure. Absolute classics!
