In Goa's Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary there is a place called Tambdi Surla that has a famous old Shiva temple. The forest behind is pretty dense. As we were walking in the forest a street dog followed us from the temple area. The monkeys of the area thought it to be a wild dog and started making alarm calls. The forest does have wild dogs or dhole population and we later saw the skeleton of a deer killed by dholes.
