Blood-curdling horror scream designed in Audacity. Started from an original recorded scream, then heavily processed with distortion, reverb, EQ, and pitch-shifting to make it sound more twisted, unsettling, and cinematic. The result is a creepy, horror-style shriek that feels like it’s echoing down a dark hallway or from inside a nightmare.
Effects used: distortion/overdrive, reverb with long decay, EQ cuts in the midrange and boosts in the high/low ends, some time-stretching and stereo widening for extra impact.
Good for horror games, jump scares, haunted house scenes, killers/monsters, trailers, and dark ambient sound design.
