My spouse also writes music, he's usually difficult to please and he said "That's pretty cool!" He thought the sitar and modem noise fit well.
I really like how you incorporated the modem noise, myself. Brilliant! Last time I heard someone adding something like this to a song was FAX Me by Yoko Kanno.
