Loch Morlich, near Aviemore.
Ambience from the shoreline of Loch Morlich, with lapping waves, dogs, and noisy kids.

This capture is from a beautiful sunny spring visit to Loch Morlich last year.
The Loch has a lovely sandy beach, and this day found it busy with tourists and day trippers.
Paddleboards and kayaks drift across the water, with kids playing noisily. Families set up picnics and relax on the shore.
Someone's dog runs amok, disrupting peoples belongings, much to the horror of the owner and to my amusement.
The microphones were set up beside the shoreline, and gentle lapping waves from a passing boat appear later in the recording.

Well, this is probably the case in most tourist spots ! If you'd like to enjoy the tranquility of the place, you have to wake up early I'm afraid ! ;-)

Thanks Kevin.
Yes, it's a crazy busy place through the day during holiday times.
However, I have had chocolate muffins for breakfast at 6 o'clock in the morning there a couple of times, and it's been completely tranquil.
Got to get up early to avoid the tourists.
Much appreciated.

Probably not the best 'quiet nature recording' ever, but still very nice for documenting the habits of some casual visitors of the loch ! ;-)
