Thanks @dreadmtl.
Yes, I worried that my Tascam DR-07XP might not cope with the quiet part very well. Normally I'd have pulled out the FR-AV2 for this kind of thing.
But I think it came through ok.
Much appreciated.

Thanks Marcel.
Your advice is good, as always.
Unfortunately this child was like "Eeeeeeeeeeeeee", "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee", "EeeeeeeEEEEE!"
Kind of grated my nerves, so I just chopped him off.
The recording I mean ;-)
Much appreciated.

Thanks Kevin.
Yeah, the train whistle being so distant is beautiful.
The whole environment is very subtle and quiet, so I'm concerned that people will just pump up the volume and hear nothing but hiss.
Much appreciated.

I wish I had captured that child playing in the graveyard. Then the sound of the steam train. A metaphor for the present and the past in audio.
There are no bad tracks and no wrong moments to press the start button. From now on, when you're ready to record, just press start what ever happens. Nothing can go wrong with your 32-bit recorder. 😇
