Yeah, that's true.
It's all about balance; portability, windproofing, and bank ;-)
I also have the Radius Foam Windshields underneath the Rycote Windjammers, just to give the mic's that little bit of recommended air space.
Other than that I just have to make do with holding my jacket out like a windbreak, and hope I don't look too strange to the occasional passer-by.

You’re welcome Colin !
Well, I’m not sure the Comicca would do a better job than your Rycote windjammers.
The main problem here is that one has to keep a ‘’wind free’’ space in front of the mics, which is always difficult with such diminutive windscreens
Quite complicated to find the right balance between portability and windproof equipment, isn’t it ? ;-)

Hi Kevin,
Many thanks.
And thanks for the suggestions - always open to those.
I currently use Rycote Windjammers on both my sets of Clippy mic's; one pair on a tripod, and another pair i keep in a handy little pocket-sized case. They're ok in very light wind. But you know only too well how frustrating that can be.
Yeah; costs are a bit of a restriction for me. Although I do have plans to invest in something a bit more significant in the future.
In the meantime I'll just have to make do with staying out of any significant wind.
Thanks again.
Much appreciated.
Colin.

You managed very well. Great result !
If you’re interested to protect the clippy mics from the wind and don’t use any hairy windscreen yet, the Bubblebee Industries twin Windbubblesare quite effective, but a bit expensive.
On the other hand, the comica CVM-MF1 are almost as effective, but at a fraction of the cost. A very good option too, in my opinion ! ;-)
Recently, I’ve also heard that bubblebee Industries release some new Windbubbles pro, but I don’t know how good they are, and I suppose this new option would not be cheaper than the original windbubbles.

Thanks Kevin.
Difficult one this. The wind was blowing enough for a good rumble in my clippy's, but I managed to find some shelter at one of the big tombstones in order to avoid the worst of it. There's a bit of high-pass applied, and some of it ended up on the cutting room floor in post. But got there in the end.
Much appreciated.
