I placed a faux-fur throw/blanket onto a mannequin head and secured it in place. I then took 4 different hairbrushes (cylindrical metal, wide tooth, hard plastic, noisy) and combed the fur at different speeds and intensities.
I recorded this sound on a Zoom H4n Pro capsule mic in mono.
