The night of 26-May-2018 the Southeast of England saw one of the most intense thunderstorms I have ever seen. After about 1 hour of dry thunderstorm (lots of lightning with no rain) then it started to rain, at times heavily. About 2 hours into the thunderstorm I went to bed, so I do not know how long it lasted.
This is a recording of the thunderstorm from my bedroom window. At some point during the recording it starts to rain.
