Hi! I'm new here, I'm looking for free wave sounds that I can download and record into a CD to play for my plants (I'm not nuts, I just want to test a new fertilizing method called SoundBloom, their cds are kind of expensive, so I thought I'd test the method before I invested. . .if the plants like it, and thrive, then that's another story, if not, I will only have lost a little bit.) Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I've seen cricket wav files here, but I really don't know what to do with them or if they are available to the members for free use. I don't have anything commercial in mind, only pure gardening.

I remember that in my hometown of Ghent they did this experiment with 2 huge rooms full of plants. One had a DJ playing techno all the time, the other had soothing classical music all the time. I won't tell you results (I would be spoiling your fun!!)

Now, in order to do what you want to do:

download the wave files (if they are other types, you should probably convert them to *.wav first, I recommend using audacity - do a google). After that you can use almost any CD writing software to create an audio cd from these wave files. Even windows media player will you alow to burn a CD.

I've never tried it, but perhaps you could use burnatonce:

I remember a similar experiment with heavy metal vs. classical music. I think that the results were similar to the one Bram is hinting at. But I always wonder whether this was true or just bias from the researchers...
