I'm not sure yet, but I think I might have got something.

I've been playing with various sounds all day on and off, and one sound I found called "deep bass rumble 2.wav" by ERH I've doubled up and doubled up and stretched and so on and so forth - resulting in a rather nice slightly billowy sound, but deep with it. Or Bass.

I think it'll come in very useful.

That might be one of the sounds you directed me to Timbre, or at least I found it via a sound you pointed me at.

What with that and the great tunnels sounds you posted, and everything else I've found here, I think I'm well on the way to having some really nice complex sounds for my animation.

I'm going to get on with the animatic next so that my brother has something to work with - I'm hoping he's going to create some music for me.

I still have to upload the doors I recorded too, mustn't forget those...

a graphic equalizer? I haven't got one of those ...
There is something in Soundbooth under the Effects menu called:EQ Graphic, which could be what you mean.

Yep that's it. If you play with the controls of the graphic equaliser (usually sliders) you will quickly learn its effect.
The low numbers 100-200 (Hz) are the low bassy compontents of the sound, the high +5000(Hz) are the high hissy components.
You can increase (boost) or decrease (cut) any of these components using the slider controls on the graphic equaliser.

If you want music try CCMixter (it's like Freesound but entire tunes) ... http://ccmixter.org/

That's good because I just tried "Audacity" and it crashed when I tried to import the first sound file. (a .wav) So I don't think that's going to be much good.

Thanks I'll take a look at that.
